AeroHeart Privacy Policy

This policy explains how AeroHeart handles information when you use the AeroHeart aviation weather app.

Information stored on your device

AeroHeart stores your saved airport list and app preferences on your device. This includes your alert choices and quiet-hours settings.

Information used for push alerts

If you enable weather alerts, AeroHeart sends the service a randomly generated device identifier, an Expo push token, your time zone, alert and quiet-hours settings, and the ICAO codes of airports you selected for alerts. The service uses this information to decide whether to send a relevant weather alert to your device. AeroHeart does not require you to create an account or provide your name or email address to use the app.

You can turn off alerts in AeroHeart or revoke notification permission in your iPhone settings. To request deletion of server-side alert registration information, email akefsalaita25@gmail.com.

Weather information and service providers

When you request aviation weather information, AeroHeart’s server sends the relevant airport code to the aviation data providers used for the request, including the FAA and the Aviation Weather Center. Replit provides hosting and database services for AeroHeart. Expo and Apple provide push-notification delivery services and process the push token and notification content needed to deliver alerts.

These providers process information as needed to provide their services. AeroHeart does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Sharing reports

If you choose to share a METAR or TAF report, iOS presents its share options and sends the content to the app or recipient you select. AeroHeart does not receive or store a copy of content you share this way.

Location and other sensitive device data

AeroHeart does not need your precise device location, contacts, or photos to provide its current features. Airport weather is requested using the airport code you select.

Retention and your choices

Your saved airports and local preferences remain on your device until you change or remove them. Alert registration details are kept by the service while needed to operate the alert feature. You may disable alerts in the app and contact us at the address above to request deletion of server-side alert registration details.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information handled by AeroHeart. No method of storage or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as AeroHeart changes. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is published.
